COOKIE POLICY
Information on the use of cookies
The purpose of this policy is to describe the types of cookies used by the i-beauty.it website.
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the user’s device when they visit a website, and which acts as a “reminder”, enabling the site to recognise the user on subsequent visits. Cookies therefore allow the site to offer users personalised experiences by storing certain information about them. This policy uses the term “cookies” to refer both to the cookies themselves and to similar technologies covered by the law.
The information collected through cookies, although anonymous in itself, concerns data that could potentially allow users/visitors to be identified through association and processing with unique identifiers and data held by third parties (such as, for example, IP address numbers, domain names of computers used by people connecting to the website).
This document is an integral and substantial part of the Privacy Policy and the information contained therein issued also pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. We therefore invite you to read this document as well.
What cookies are used for
Cookies perform several functions: they allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences and generally improving your experience; they can also help to ensure that advertisements shown during browsing are of interest to you and that marketing activities carried out are relevant to your preferences.
In the course of browsing a site, the user may receive on his or her computer ‘first party’ and ‘third party’ cookies so called having as reference the party that sets the cookie. Whether a cookie is a ‘first’ or ‘third party’ cookie is strictly related to the website or domain that uses that cookie. First party’ cookies, in essence, are cookies set by the same website visited by the user – i.e. the website displayed in the URL window: in our case, cookies set by this Owner’s website. Third-party” cookies are cookies that are set by a domain other than the one visited by the user: i.e. cookies that are set by websites other than this Controller’s website. If a user visits a website (like this one) and a third company sets a cookie through this site, this specific cookie is a “third party” cookie.
Types of cookies
a. Technical cookies
Technical cookies enable the performance of activities necessary for the operation of the site, for example those to ensure that the content of a page loads quickly and efficiently, the distribution of workload between different computers or to ensure security. Without them, the site would not be able to function properly.
The following two categories of b) functional cookies and c) analytical cookies (only if they comply with the requirements listed in the dedicated section) fall under “technical” cookies, even if they are not strictly necessary.
b. Functional cookies
Functional cookies save information that changes the way the website is displayed or acts. For example, they are usually set in response to the user’s actions on a service request, such as when setting your privacy preferences, when logging in or filling in forms; they allow you to store the language you have selected or your preferred geographic region. If you do not activate these cookies, all or part of these services will not function as requested.
c. Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources in order to measure and improve the performance of our site. For example, they identify the most viewed content and the most common operations among users.
Analytical cookies are equated with functional cookies only if:
They are only used to produce aggregate statistics and in relation to a single site or mobile application;
At least the fourth component of the IP address is masked for third-party cookies;
Third parties refrain from combining such cookies with other processing (customer files or statistics of visits to other sites, for example) or passing them on to third parties.Otherwise, analytical cookies are equated with profiling cookies and therefore require consent.
d. Profiling and advertising cookies
Profiling (or promotional) cookies are discretionary and are designed to create profiles of the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the web. This type of cookie is subject to the user’s prior consent.
Consent for cookies
For the installation of profiling cookies and analytical cookies that process data that is not anonymous or aggregated, the user’s consent must be obtained. For this reason, when accessing the site, a banner is proposed to inform the user and allow him to give his informed consent to receive these cookies. The user, by interacting with the banner, will be able to access a dashboard through which he can express his specific consent to the installation of each category of cookie.
Consent to the use of cookies may be withdrawn at any time, in the same way as it was given, although the withdrawal may have an impact on the functionality of the website.
You can set your browser to warn you of the presence of cookies, allowing you to decide whether to accept cookies or not. It is also possible to automatically refuse all cookies by activating the appropriate option in the browser.
